  • Tourist ETA: holidays, visiting friends/family, short wellness/cultural/sports activities.
  • Business ETA: meetings, conferences, short negotiations (may require supporting docs).
  • Transit ETA: up to 48 hours while connecting through Sri Lanka.

Standard ETA is typically 30 days from arrival (tourist usually double-entry).

You may request an extension (in Colombo) up to a longer period subject to approval.
