The main stairway is steep but short; the upper paths are uneven. Take it slow, use handrails/edges where available, and wear sturdy shoes.
Best time to visit?
Morning or late afternoon for shade and softer light. Midday sun can be strong on exposed rock.
What should we bring?
Water, hat, sunscreen, and modest dress for shrine areas. Some caves may request footwear off.
How long is the drive?
Colombo ↔ Yapahuwa is typically ~2.5–3 hrs each way depending on traffic. We’ll adjust start time to your pace.
